Neil has been part of the communications and information systems' industry for the last 20 years. He started his career as a Communications Engineer in the military but quickly moved into designing and securing critical infrastructure networks, working both in the public and private sector. Neil has lived in the Middle East for five years where he has provided strategic vision and leadership to companies that primarily assist organizations in the Government and Energy sectors to develop and implement their security strategies. He was also appointed as the United Kingdom's first Cybersecurity Industry Representative to the Gulf where he supported capability export campaigns, worked with local organizations to increase efforts towards security, and, helped with building capacity in the region. He is currently leading Thales’ regional Critical Information Systems and Cyber Security business and is based in Dubai. He is a CISSP, Certified SCADA Security Architect and also holds a specialized Master of Business Administration in Cyber Security.
